Survey Camp : Survey camp conducted at Sathar Island for S6 CE students

Sree Narayana Mangalam Temple Plot Survey:- Some of our excellent students conducted a survey at Sree Narayana Mangalam Temple plot along with the staffs as per the request of our college management.

Total Station Training Program by Guest Expert: Civil Engineering department conducted a Total station Training Program on 19/02/2020 by Mr. Dijeesh Kumar C. from Nosegay IT India Pvt. Ltd, Who is a Technical Expert in the field of Total station Survey as a part of Gurutwa 2020.

Srishti, Civil Engineering Association of SNMIMT organized a model making competition cum exhibition for students of civil engineering department on 31st October 2018. The function was inaugurated by Dr. V.R Sasikumar Principal of SNMIMT. About 80 students constituting 10 teams were participated in the event. Main attractions of the event are Rotating Bridge, Revolving Tower, Golden Bridge, Suspension Bridge, Floating Tunnel and Cement Manufacturing Unit.

The Civil Engineering Association “SRISHTI” has formed during the year 2013 with the primary aim of exposing potential civil engineers to the challenges of the profession. With both students and faculty as its members the association is very much active in our campus. SRISHTI organizes activities like technical talks by distinguished personalities, Video shows, Field visits, Seminars etc

Association activities of the year 2017-18

Conducted technical talk on “Environmental Pollution” by Smt. P B Sreelakshmy, Environmental Engineer, Kerala State Pollution Control Board, Eloor.

The standard penetration test (SPT) is an in-situ dynamic penetration test designed to provide information on the geotechnical engineering properties of soil. The Civil Engineering students attended and evaluated the standard penetration test installed in the College open auditorium for checking the strength of underlying soil.

Life mission project is a massive housing campaign with the aim of building homes for 2 lakh landless families. The students of Civil Engineering association has involved in the preparation of plan and estimate of houses to be built for Paravur Block Panchayath

Conducted a survey to explore the possibilities of reducing road accidents at Cherayi to Ayyampilli and Cherayi to Paravur areas as per the direction of Munambam Police station.

Various trips were arranged to impart technical knowhow to all students at various sites.
